Hospice grand opening to feature talk by pain management expert
Capital Caring, one of the nation’s oldest non-profit providers of hospice and palliative care, will hold a grand opening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 13 for its office at 4501 Empire Court in Spotsylvania.
Dr. Perry G. Fine, a professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Utah and a renowned pain expert, will give a talk at 6:30 p.m. on the latest in pain management and symptom relief, a primary metric of care for Capital Caring.
The program also will pay tribute to Dr. Angus Muir of Hematology-Oncology Associates of Fredericksburg, who champions hospice and palliative care. Hematology-Oncology Associates is also at at 4501 Empire Court.
Malene S. Davis, Capital Caring’s president and CEO, will attend, and vendors will have booths at the ceremony.
