Celebrate Virginia Live’s pavilion gets new naming-rights sponsor
A Fredericksburg-based restaurant chain is the new naming-rights sponsor for Celebrate Virginia Live’s pavilion in Celebrate Virginia South.
(Grammy winner Sheryl Crow performs at CVL tonight.)
The 15-acre concert venue, home to the Celebrate Virginia Live Concert Series and other functions, is now the Pancho Villa Pavilion.
“We feel very fortunate to find such a great partner right here in Fredericksburg. We have a shared optimism for not only the future of the event but the tremendous potential of the community,” said Dave Peterson, owner of Seven Hills Presents, producers of the Celebrate Virginia Live series, in a prepared statement.
Job.com, a Fredericksburg-based job posting website, was the previous sponsor. It had signed a three-year contract in 2010.
Eladio Pacheco founded Pancho Villa in 1993, and now has nine locations in Virginia, North Carolina, and Michigan. The family-owned and operated restaurant group serves authentic Mexican food in a family friendly atmosphere. It has been voted “Simply The Best” Mexican restaurant in the Fredericksburg region four years straight.
This year’s Celebrate Virginia Live Friday evening summer series features such performers as Crow, Hank Williams Jr., Trace Adkins, and Bret Michaels.
“We feel very good about the way the community has embraced the series and consider it a great opportunity to contribute our name to the event space,” said Pacheco in a prepared statement. “We’re looking very forward to sharing a vital role in the growth of both Celebrate Virginia Live and the Fredericksburg Community.”
