REC’s new Co-op Connections card offers members more ways to save

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative is sending its members a new Co-op Connections card this month that can help them save more money than the old one.

The Co-op Connections card program is a free benefit offered to all REC members. The current card offers 10 to 85 percent off many prescriptions at more than 60,000 participating pharmacies, and has helped save members more than $1 million.

The updated version will also offer discounts in dental, vision, hearing aids, lab/imaging and chiropractic care, as well as deals from local and national retail merchants.

The local merchants will include heating and cooling companies, restaurants, auto part stores and many other businesses. National discounts can also be found on REC’s website, myrec.coop, in categories such as lodging, travel and entertainment. Printable grocery coupons will be updated daily on the website as well.

REC members also can enroll in MyVIP Savings, an internet mall, where they can enjoy cash back savings at over 1,000 on line stores including Walmart, Macy’s and Target.
