Wish List deadline now Dec. 27
I asked, and you responded.
Boy, did you respond.
Less than 24 hours after I posted an appeal in my What’s In Store? blog and on fredericksburg.com’s Facebook page, nearly 170 people shared 110 suggestions for what retailers and restaurants they’d like to see open in the Fredericksburg area in 2012.
There also were 10 other general suggestions, including two asking for nice chain restaurants on U.S. 17 in StaffordCounty.
The top pick?
No surprise. Once again it was Trader Joe’s.
Cheesecake Factory was a distant second, with Gap, HomeGoods and P.F. Chang’s not far behind.
The deadline for submissions initially was Dec. 31. Due to the overwhelming number of suggestions I’ve received so far, that has been moved to Dec. 27. On Dec. 28, there will be a poll on fredericksburg.com’s Facebook page featuring the most requested businesses, so please check back then to vote for your fav.
I’ll have an article on New Year’s Day about the Top 10 most popular, and will list the top 20 on my blog.
