The Frenchman’s Corner to expand into Charlottesville
The Frenchman’s Corner, which has locations in downtown Culpeper and Fredericksburg, will open its third shop on Jan. 1 in the former The Seasonal Cook at 416 West Main St. in Charlottesville.
The Frenchman’s Corner began a decade ago in the entrance of 300-square-foot space next to Hazel River Inn Restaurant on East Davis Street in Culpeper. Owners Marc and Meg Oremiatzki-Ast are now the largest independent dealers of Brussels-based Neuhaus Chocolates, and sell a variety of gourmet food and kitchen items.
Early next year they will announce the opening of their first licensed tea, coffee and chocolates shop in Charlottesville’s downtown mall area.
