What we gained and lost in 2010
Following on the heels of a dismal 2009, 2010 has been a relatively good year for new businesses.
The Village at Towne Centre celebrated its grand opening this summer, Eagle Village’s new office and retail complex is more than half leased and the new Lake Anna Plaza is finally bringing retail shops and restaurants to Mineral.
A number of businesses also closed, including Las Palmas Cafe, the second restaurant to open and shutter within a year at 409 William St., and Beijing, a popular Chinese restaurant on State Route 3.
Now’s the time to let me know your favorites of all the new businesses that opened in the Fredericksburg area this year, and which ones that closed will be sorely missed. Please contact me at 540/374-5407 or cjett@freelancestar.com. This is for an article that will appear in Saturday’s business section in The Free Lance-Star.
