Free shipping today at Borders.com’s revamped website
Are you making your Christmas list and checking it twice?
If you’re like me, it probably includes books. Lots of books. I try to hit Borders and Joseph-Beth Booksellers once a week, and support my book-buying habit by surfing the web as well.
You can bet I’ll be checking out Borders Group’s new version of its e-commerce site, which was unveiled this morning. It offers “more discounts, free shipping options and other upgrades, in keeping with the company’s growing emphasis on the web,” according to an article in Internet Retailer, an online magazine covering the retail industry.
Borders Group is marking the introduction by offering several ways to earn free shipping on all orders placed today.
Speaking of free shipping, Amazon.com has something called a filler item finder to help you find cheap, free-shipping-eligible items such as 16-cent pack of 25 nylon set screws to bump up your order so that it qualifies for free shipping status.
