Giant to celebrate reopening remodeled Doc Stone store

Want a $10 gift certificate to a Giant Food store?

Then rise and shine early on Friday, May 21, and hustle over to the recently renovated Giant in Doc Stone Commons.

Giant Food is reopening the Stafford County store with a week of special events and activities, including giveaways of $10 gift certificates to the first 250 people who show up at 6 a.m.

It will be followed by a ribbon cutting at 8 a.m., in which a $2,001.96 check will be presented to Colonial Forge High School as a result of the 2009-2010 A+ Bonus Bucks program. It earned the largest award from shoppers at this store.

Friday, May 21

Starting at 10 a.m.: Stop by the Giant Pharmacy and save $2 on select allergy relief products.

11 a.m.: First raffle for gift bag filled with Giant brand products. Raffles occur throughout the day. Bag that contains Golden Ticket will receive $25 Shell Gift Card in honor of Gas Rewards program.

3 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Taste of Giant: Program encourages customers to explore the store while stamping their treasure map in various departments. Upon completion, one customer will win free groceries for a month, and all participants receive complimentary reusable Giant shopping bag. Weather permitting, the program will begin outside at Giant Food tents featuring grilled food items, fresh produce, and Giant brand snacks.

5 p.m.: Free at Five Giveaway: $1 off Roma Sausage coupon distributed to first 100 customers in the meat department.

Saturday, May 22

11 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Taste of Giant Treasure Program

Starting at 10 a.m.: Bring in a new prescription for any generic medication on Giant’s $9.99 list and get it filled for free.

11 a.m.: First raffle for gift bag filled with Giant brand products. Raffles occur throughout the day. Bag that contains Golden Ticket will receive $25 Shell Gift Card in honor of Gas Rewards program.

5 p.m.: Free at Five Giveaway: Oven-fresh Madelyn cupcakes from Giant’s bakery distributed to first 100 customers in the bakery.

Sunday, May 23

Starting at 10 a.m.: Visit Giant Pharmacy for free CareOne 81 mg aspirin.

11 a.m.: First raffle for gift bag filled with Giant brand products. Raffles occur throughout the day. Bag that contains Golden Ticket will receive $25 Shell Gift Card in honor of Gas Rewards program.
