GREAT SCOT: The Scottish Society of Fredericksburg will honor the legendary patriot William Wallace on Saturday, Aug. 25, from 2–4 p.m. at Park Lane Tavern in the Village at Towne Centre. Come learn about this Scottish national hero and meet members of the Scottish Society. Also on tap is a performance by Celtic band Aon. No cover charge.
ALL THAT JAZZ: The American Music Concert Series continues with a performance by the University of Mary Washington Faculty Jazz Combo on Saturday in Market Square, corner of Princess Anne and William streets. This free concert is sponsored by Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center. Tunes will be running from 7–9 p.m.
MUSIC MONDAYS: Step back in time with Denim-n-Lace on Monday. The duo will bring the sounds of country and old-school rock ’n’ roll to the Music on the Steps series on Monday at Central Rappahannock Regional Library, 1201 Caroline St., Fredericksburg. The show kicks off at 7 p.m., and don’t forget to bring a chair and blanket. Free!
