The sun is coming, the sun is coming
This visible satellite image from 8:01 a.m. shows clear skies behind the cold front – which is currently exiting the coast into the Atlantic – approaching from the west. Locales west of the Blue Ridge mountains are already seeing sunshine and northwesterly winds picking up in intensity. As the clouds aren’t moving eastward very rapidly it will take a few more hours for the sun to peak through in the ‘Burg, probably not ’til after lunch. The temperature won’t rise much more than a few degrees this afternoon as colder air pours into the area, so expect a high around the 50 degree (F) mark.
The rest of this week still looks mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid-50′s and lows in the 30′s. Still another nor’easter looks to affect our weather over this coming weekend, but the details are still fuzzy this far out. Meanwhile, on to the sunshine!
