The fact that it’s Veterans’ Day plus a great weather forecast means this coming weekend deserves to have exclamation points behind it. We get to celebrate and honor our military veterans this weekend under sunny skies and temperatures that will climb all the way into the mid-60s (F), which will seem downright balmy after our recent string of cooler than normal weather.
The warm weather will last through Monday – a holiday for many folks – with temperatures that may touch the 70 degree mark. Soak it all in while you can because reality sets back in Tuesday when a cold front is projected to punch through from the northwest and usher in much cooler air for the latter part of next week.
Meanwhile hurricane season is still in force; check out this graphic from the National Hurricane Center:
Given what I see on a couple of long range model forecasts don’t be surprised to see the unorganized mass of clouds inside the yellow circle grow into the next tropical storm in the Atlantic Basin by midweek. Right now it looks like it will stay well offshore as a “fish storm” but it’s worth watching.
