A sunny Sunday morning update

The pesky – and somewhat erratic – frontal system has finally cleared out of the area and beautiful autumn weather has reasserted itself over the Old Dominion today (Sunday).  A southern storm system is gathering strength and headed our way with plenty of Gulf moisture so Monday into Tuesday we will see some of that rain that the forecasters – and I! – thought would arrive over the past few days.  In fact, given the path of this storm I would be searching for my snow shovel IF this was December or January…but Monday is only the 1st of October so I’ll let that shovel (and my back muscles) rest a while longer.

Meanwhile enjoy today’s beauty.  More about the upcoming week’s weather in tomorrow’s post.
