North Anna to test sirens
North Anna Power Station will test its emergency sirens today at 11:10 a.m. According to Dominion power, the sirens around North Anna are tested quarterly (typically on the third Wednesday of February, May, August and November). During these routine tests, the alerting signal produced by the sirens is a steady tone that lasts for three minutes. The alerting signal for an actual emergency will be four separate three-minute activations, each separated by one minute of silence. For more information on the sirens, click here.
