With rain falling over a couple days, it seemed like we would have gotten more than 1.5 inches. But that was it, according to the University of Mary Washington weather site. Still, it was enough of a soaking to recharge farm fields, and the Rappahannock River, which was running low for this time of year. Still, the year-to-date total is only 9.63 inches, so we’re about 3.67 inches shy of where we should be. The National Weather Service is calling for another chance of showers Thursday and Sunday.
