Northern Neck may see swamp fire smoke
The Northern Neck may see some smoke from a fire burning in the Great Dismal Swamp on the Virginia-North Carolina border, according to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. Smoke from the fire, which was ingnited by a lightning strike on Aug. 4, could reach as far north as Hanover County tonight, says meteorologist Dan Salkovitz, and Westmoreland, Northumberland, Richmond and Lancaster counties tomorrow. How much depends on the weather. Click here for more information.
