Green community conversation

Spotsylvania’s Committee of 500 is taking a wide-ranging look at how the county should evolve. Sunday’s forum includes a talk on green infrastructure by Kevin Byrnes, director of regional planning for the George Washington Regional Commission.  Byrnes’ panel will examine green infrastructure, which The Conservation Fund describes as  “Strategically planned and managed networks of natural lands, working landscapes and other open spaces that conserve ecosystem values and functions and provide associated benefits to human populations.” The forum, which includes panels on education and transportation, runs from 1:30 to 3:30 at the Salem Church Library.
