Earth Hour, Potomac cleanup
If you didn’t know about Earth Hour, here you go: This year’s hour arrives at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The concept is lights out for an hour to draw attention to climate change and a sustainable future. It began in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, when 2.2 million homes and businesses turned their lights off for an hour. For more, click here.
On another subject, the Potomac River, sadly, is a vast, watery trash can littered with beer cans, plastic bags, tires, appliances. I could go on, but it’s too painful.
