UMW free movie series begins tonight

Beginning tonight, July 14, the University of Mary Washington will again host its popular free summer movie series “Cinema on the Circle.”

During the series, three family-friendly movies will be shown at UMW’s Ball Circle on three Monday nights in a row.

Tonight’s feature will be “The Incredibles, ” followed by “Back to the Future” on July 21 and “The Wizard of Oz” on July 28.

Movies begin at dark, which on July 14 is at 8:33 p.m. Sunset on July 21 will be at 8:21 p.m., and at 8:23 p.m. on July 28.

Organized by UMW’s Center for Faith and Leadership, the series is designed to engage the community with the local college.

Families should bring chairs or blankets to watch the movies on. Refreshments, such as popcorn and snow cones, are given out by the university.
