Eagle Village pedestrian bridge closed for repairs

The pedestrian bridge over U.S. 1 from the University of Mary Washington to Eagle Village is closed this week for repairs.

According to a UMW staff newsletter, Donley’s Construction will be making repairs on the north tower of the bridge that will close the structure until Friday evening.

The work will specifically involve repairs to improve drainage on the north side next to Eagle Landing, and will also require the closure of the curved sidewalk in front of Eagle Landing that leads to the bridge.

No work is anticipated on the south side of the bridge next to the Anderson Center.
