Public hearing set for Route 610 widening project
Stafford County will hold a public hearing Tuesday evening on the planned widening of a section of Garrisonville Road.
The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moncure Elementary School.
The project will widen just less than a mile of Garrisonville Road between Onville Road and Eustace Lane from a four-lane, undivided roadway to a six-lane divided roadway.
The widening will follow a project at the intersection of Route 610 and Onville Road. Work there is supposed to start later this summer and is expected to be finished by late 2015.
The Virginia Department of Transportation is handling the intersection work while the county is overseeing the Route 610 widening project.
