Reminder: Six-year plan meeting tonight
In case anyone missed the previous blog or brief in the paper, the meeting on the state’s Six-Year Improvement Program will be held tonight.
Here are the details:
The meeting gives residents a chance to see what is currently funded in the SYIP and to weigh in on what transportation projects they think are most important, which could lead to funding in the future.
The meeting will be held at the University of Mary Washington’s Stafford campus, on U.S. 17.
From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., there will be an open house with displays and officials available to answer questions. Beginning at 7 p.m., transportation officials will conduct a “moderated” meeting.
Officials from VDOT, the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation and the Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization will be at the meeting.
