VRE Santa Trains will run again

MORE: See all local transportation news

Halloween isn’t even over and we’ve already gotten questions about the Virginia Railway Express’ Santa Trains. Just goes to show how popular the event is.

Here are the details.

From VRE:

This year, VRE is continuing another holiday favorite. As part of the festivities, during the morning of Santa Trains our Leeland Road station will become a drop off site for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign. We are encouraging everyone to bring a toy to the Santa Trains that will be shared with someone less fortunate in the Virginia area. Yes, we will still be holding our annual on board toy drive Wednesday, December 5th.

The tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Nov. 26. Click this link for the full details.

Tickets can be bought online or at vendor sites. Here’s the online link. The page shows that tickets are sold out, but don’t fret, that’s not the case (they can’t be sold out if they have not gone on sale yet).

Tickets are limited to six per person.
