Bridge work, inspections on tap this week

Be on the lookout for delays on bridges in Stafford County this week as there are inspections planned. The Chatham Bridge and the Interstate bridges over U.S. 17 are slated for inspections this week.

Also in Stafford, paving work is planned on Staffordboro Boulevard over the coming weekend. This work has been planned and canceled numerous times in past two months. Maybe this time it will be done.

In Spotsylvania, there is a lane closure in place for a culvert replacement job on Maple Grove Drive.

In other areas, look for paving work on Ladysmith Road in Caroline and Route 665 in King George.

And, continue to expect delays on I-95 in the Garrisonville area as part of the express lanes work. Crews are still setting steel beams on the flyover there.

For the complete list of area road work, see VDOT’s Hot Spots and Megaprojects’ I-95 express lanes information below.
