Trucker protest could clog I-95, beltway this weekend
You might want to steer clear of the Capital Beltway this weekend.
On Friday, a group of truckers plans to start a three-day convoy on Interstate 495 as a protest against “the corruption that is destroying America,” according to a USA Today report.
According to the story, two convoys of Truckers Ride for the Constitution will leave from the truck stop in Doswell. That means northbound Interstate 95 traffic at some point Friday could include a lot of extra tractor-trailers.
According to one report, there could be as many as 3,000 truckers in the convoy.
