Garrisonville gas line worked called because of rain
UPDATE: VDOT says Thursday night gas line work on the Route 610 bridge over Interstate 95 is cancelled tonight because of the rain. That means no lane and ramp closures.
Gas line inspections will close Interstate 95 lanes in North Stafford the next two nights.
Tonight (Thursday) at 10, Columbia Gas of Virginia crews are scheduled to start inspections of gas lines on the Route 610 overpass, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. That work is expected to be done by 4:30 a.m. Thursday.
During the inspection, two lanes of I-95 will be closed at the overpass. Eastbound 610 traffic will not be able to use exit 143 B to get onto the interstate. Instead, traffic will have to use exit 143 A on U.S. 1 to get on northbound I-95.
On Thursday, the inspections will shut down two southbound lanes of I-95 at the overpass, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Friday. Westbound traffic on 610 will not be able to use exit 143 A to get on southbound I-95. Instead, traffic will need to get on eastbound 610 and use exit 143 B.
