I-95 ramp in Spotsy will be closed tonight
The Interstate 95 ramp to westbound State Route 3 will be shut down tonight so crews can clean up debris left over from a recent tractor-trailer crash, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The northbound ramp for exit 130B will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday until 4 a.m. Tuesday, according to VDOT’s Kelly Hannon.
“Motorists on northbound I-95 are encouraged to take Exit 126/Spotsylvania to Route 1 north to reach Route 3 westbound,” she said in a release.
VDOT’s release did not mention a specific accident, but there was a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Jan. 30.
In that crash, a tractor-trailer carrying flower bulbs took the curve too fast on the ramp and overturned, according to police. The driver was charged with reckless driving. See the brief here.
