Work continues on several area bridges, U.S. 1 and along I-95
Not much new going on with road work, but several current road projects continue and could cause delays.
One key project is the slope work along southbound Interstate 95 near Quantico. That extensive work, dealing with bad soil that has eroded, has been going on for weeks and it will continue this week.
Drivers can expect delays in North Stafford as a bridge project on U.S. 1 will close one northbound lane.
Also, something not included in VDOT’s Hot Spots, the I-95 express lanes work has intensified. Drivers should expect potential local impacts from the I-95 express lanes work, as crews are doing some pile driving work for bridges that have the be built or rebuilt in the North Stafford area.
