VDOT prepared for more snow

Although not much snow is expected in the Fredericksburg area, Virginia Department of Transportation crews are at the ready to treat the roads.
The roads are clear of the snow that fell Thursday in the Fredericksburg area, said VDOT’s Kelly Hannon.
New snowfall is expected to start falling locally between 1 and 4 p.m., with more possibly tonight. All told, it is expected to amount to only about 1 inch here. That still could make for a messy afternoon commute.
Although they’re now in a wait-and-see period, Hannon said crews are “still running 24 -hour operations, so we can respond to the weather as it arrives.”
