Police: Spotsylvania teen dies after jumping from bridge onto I-95

The Virginia State Police said a 17-year-old Spotsylvania boy died earlier this morning after jumping off of the Route 208 bridge onto Interstate 95 in Spotsylvania.
“It’s a suicide,” said Sgt. Les Tyler with the state police.
He said the incident happened at about 1:35 a.m. The teen apparently jumped off of the bridge onto the southbound lanes of the interstate and was struck by a vehicle.
Traffic got by on the shoulder while police investigated. The scene was cleared just after 4:30 a.m.
