Lake Anna bridge project wrapping up

The structural rehab work on the Lake Anna bridge on Route 208 is winding down.

The bridge is scheduled to reopen without the construction zone obstacles on Tuesday, the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Tina Bundy said in a release.

The temporary traffic signals, concrete barriers and orange barrels should all be gone soon, while crews put on the finishing touches of the $4.8-million project, which included pouring a new concrete deck.

There will be some temporary lane closures while the work is being finished, but the project should be completed later this month, ahead of the scheduled December completion date.
