Paving scheduled for William Street

If the weather holds up, Fredericksburg crews will start a milling and paving project on William Street Tuesday night at 8.
The work will be done in the 100 block–between Caroline and Sophia streets. One lane will be open during most of the work, but expect delays.
Crews are scheduled to work until 5 a.m., according to the city. But if they finish early, they could move to Central Park and start milling and paving work on Carl D. Silver Parkway, from Wal-Mart to the Cowan Boulevard area.
Initially only milling will be done on that section. That work will continue Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. During the day Thursday, crews will put down traffic signal control loops in the road at the Cowan intersection.
Paving is scheduled to be done next Monday and Tuesday evenings, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
