John Guandolo is a former FBI agent giving anti-terrorism seminars. He’s giving one in Culpeper and the Sheriff’s office is gaining a lot of heat for it. It appears Mr. Guandolo, who resigned from the FBI ahead of a misconduct investigation, has a history of making anti-Muslim comments.
A few years ago he made the comments “every major Muslim organization is controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood, the former FBI agent said, which he said was formed to overthrow America and establish Islamic law. They’re having great success of implementing Shariah law, I could give you a thousand examples.”
The Council on American–Islamic Relations and the Southern Poverty Law Center have both asked Culpeper’s sheriff to cancel the seminar. No dice. The seminar will proceed as planned.
