Greg Abbott is the GOP candidate for governor of Texas. Despite Ted Nugent’s inflammatory remarks about President Obama, Abbott is still touring the state’s campaign trail with the Motor City Madman.
What did The Nuge say that was so controversial? It’s not just controversial, it’s racist. You can’t refer to someone as a “mongrel” and say it’s not racist. Nugent’s statement reads: “I have obviously failed to galvanize and prod if not shame enough Americans to be ever vigilant not to let a Chicago communist-raised, communist-educated, communist-nurtured subhuman mongrel like the ACORN community organizer gangster Barack Hussein Obama to weasel his way into the top office of authority in the United States of America.”
On top of all that, last April Nugent called himself a black Jew at a Nazi-Klan rally. Later he said the South should have won the Civil War and then went on to compare gun owners to Rosa Parks.
Of course this guy shouldn’t be taken seriously. He’s spent years bragging about sleeping with underage girls. What’s disgraceful is that someone takes him seriously. Abbot says he’s celebrating Nugent’s freedom of speech. Why doesn’t Abbott invite the Westboro gang down and celebrate their freedom of speech? Sarah Palin says she likes Abbot because anyone Nugent likes is all right with her. Of course we’ve known for a long time Palin is a dim bulb.
Speaking of intelligence and excusing horrible people, the voters of Texas will probably put Abbott in the governor’s mansion.
