Arizona’s Secretary Of State Ken Bennett threatened to keep Obama off that state’s ballott unless he received confirmation from Hawaii that the president was born in the United States.  At first Hawaii told him to shut up.  This entire birther nonsense has been settled.  There’s never been any evidence EVER of the president NOT being born in the United States.

The birthers, which Bennett says he’s not one of, would not let it go.  It comes down to this:  Obama is black.  That’s it.  For these people, a black man isn’t supposed to occupy 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, no matter if the majority of the country put him there.

Obama was born in Hawaii.  It doesn’t matter where his father’s from.  That’s it.  Case closed.  Just as closed as the case against John McCain being born in Panama is closed.  You didn’t see Republicans clamoring for his birth certificate.

Of course you also don’t see Ken Bennett asking for Romney’s birth certificate.  There’s as much proof of Obama being born in this country as Romney, but I guess we don’t need to take a magnifying glass to Mitt’s birth certficate.  No, we don’t…and we don’t need to for Obama.  Of course another reason for Bennett not to ask for Romney’s, and to make stupid political hay out of Obama’s, is the fact that Bennett is a Republican who fancies running for governor and is Mitt Romney’s campaign co-chair in Arizona.

Bennett finally gave up and said Obama will be on the ballot because Hawaii came through with proof….AGAIN!!!  Did I say “again?”  While we’re at it, we should get him another copy of that memo about the TPS reports needing cover sheets.

What is up with Arizona’s lawmakers and their racist endeavors?  First, they legalize profiling and In March, an Arizona sheriff declared Obama’s birth certificate a forgery following an investigation by a “volunteer posse,” or group of untrained citizens, acting at the request of conservative Tea Party activists in the Phoenix area.

Wednesday, the office of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said that an investigator with this volunteer posse and a deputy detective had been sent to Hawaii in recent days to carry out their own investigation.   Man, the state of Arizona has given this guy a gun.

Hmmm….”Arpaio.”  Is that a Native-American name or is it some weird foreign name that we need a posse to investigate?

Another point of this is that a LOT of conservative voters kinda get hysterical and suspicious of a candidate with a funny name.  But I hope they don’t give WILLARD a hard time about that.

Here’s the rough.
