A new report shows that fewer white babies are being born than minority babies…which means someday Caucasians will not be the majority anymore.  I think that’s probably a good thing.  If everybody has to live and work with each other, there should be less hate and more understanding of each other.

Of course it’s not good for the GOP.  Republicans cater to the white and rich.  Our assistant editorial page editor told me that’s not true, as a lot of Hispanics vote Republican.  Maybe in south Florida.  But let’s check out the numbers from 2008.  67% of Hispanics voted for Obama.  That’s two to one.  Even in Florida Obama scored 57% of the Latino vote.  Four years earlier Bush carried 56% of the Florida Latino vote.  The GOP is even losing Cubans.

The GOP is not a diverse party.  It’s been said that if there’s a black guy at a GOP event, he’s on the stage, because they’re definitely not in the audience.  Republican positions on immigration is a detriment to them along with all their other positions that are important to minority voters.  The GOP will have to change with the times, or die.
