Ferrets and Iowa
Mitt Romney has constantly been near the top, but it seems almost every week there’s another Republican at the top of the polls in Iowa. What’s wrong with Iowan Republicans? Are they really that crazy? If they’re not careful, they’ll make a choice that’ll make the rest of the country not give a crap that Iowa has the first in the nation caucus.
I don’t like copying one image over and over again for a cartoon. I’ll usually redraw it several times. But today I wanted consistency. So the Iowa guy and Mitt are the same, with some features altered around on Mitt. I did that by photo copying, cut with scissors and pasting with a glue stick. There was also an ample amount of white-out used. The only photoshopping was the color job. Yep, I’m still analog.
I go back to using ferrets in cartoons from time to time. I just think they’re funny…and a bit weird if you own one. No offense to ferret owners….but why? It’s like having a long slinky smelly rat. I don’t get the attraction. Jess in the office told me she didn’t like what’s going on with the ferret, as it appears A Crazy Guy is choking it. She wanted a disclaimer that “no ferrets were harmed in creating this cartoon.”
Here’s the rough.
