Occupy Wall Street
There’s been a few protests going on at Wall Street called “Occupy Wall Street”. Just about every story I read on the protests doesn’t mention what the protests are actually about. Most of the stories are about some women who were pepper sprayed by the NYPD.
The New York Police actually corralled some women protesters into a makeshift fence on a sidewalk, then a cop walked up and pepper sprayed a couple of them in the face for no apparent reason. The NYPD is defending itself but the youtube clip of the incident is pretty incriminating. The police has to accept the fact that one of their finest basically assaulted people who were demonstrating peacefully.
Now, what are all those protests about?
Some of the slogans on the signs in the cartoon are taken from actual signs at the protest. I didn’t mean to put “shut down Wall St.” twice. I meant to put in “Wall St is our street” but I was distracted by Seinfeld while I was drawing. It was the Ya-da-ya-da-ya-da episode.
Here’s the rough.
