Congress’ inability to work on anything without a huge threaten-to-shut-down-the-government fight, or ruin the country’s credit rating in the process is becoming more and more ridiculous. Now they can’t even pass bills funding FEMA to provide disaster relief without squabbling over partisan issues.
At this point I think the majority of Americans are sick of all of them, Republicans and Democrats. Is there anyone in Congress who can put the benefit of the country ahead of partisan rhetoric?
I hate the two party system. I think once upon a time individuals became a member of a party because they believed that party was the way to work in the best interest of the country. Now I think members of each party work for the best interest of that party and career politics and special interest benefit more than the average American.
I think at the very least we have five more years of this stupid behavior coming out of D.C. It’s up to the American voter to fix it, not the politicians. Quite frankly that scares me.

Here’s the rough.

I had two other ideas and I kinda liked them, then kinda didn’t. I felt like each one was probably done before and maybe not even recently. They both just felt too familiar.

Another reason I didn’t like the one below was because it came off with a one-liner. A lot of cartoonists do it, and I’ve done it before (hopefully a very long time ago), but it comes off too much like an amateur comedian.
