Republicans pass a budget…which is spending (yes, your congressman and government spends…it’s what they do whether it’s Democrat or Republican) and then they refuse to raise the debt ceiling for all the crap they authorized. They could just raise it without any gimmees to either party. Just raise it. It’s not more spending. But they insist on tying an agenda to it to help with their election. They’ve totally played politics with this and they blame the president…and some of it’s working as half the country is pissed at Obama.
Now they pass a bill that they know is going to be shot down. If you know it’s not going to work then why are you wasting time on it instead of compromising and trying to accomplish something that will work? They’d rather play politics than protect the country’s credit rating, the economy, and American’s working and paying their bills. And these guys are the patriots?
The GOP wants this issue to come back during the elections. They don’t want a long-term solution. Has this been fun? I guess it has been for them. Bad thing, they’ll blame the president again when we go through this again…and they’re counting on Americans forgetting they’re the ones putting us in this precarious position. They’re probably right. Most people won’t remember who did it.
Compromising isn’t “I’ll do the job I’ve already been paid to do if you just give me everything I want while you slash your own throat.”

Here’s the rough.
