Virginia Abortion Rules
The General Assembly of Virginia decided to tighten abortion rules. If a clinic performs five or more abortions a month, then it has to be regulated like a hospital. Advocates for the bill which just passed say it’s a safety measure. I call hogwash on that. It’s an effort for the “pro-life” agenda. I do support safety in the abortion field, but I hate hypocrisy and passing a law and saying it’s one thing when it’s actually another.
This is just an effort to shut down as many clinics as possible and make women who choose a first trimester abortion get them in a hospital. I do expect this law to be knocked down as it appears unconstitutional.
Here’s the rough.
