Social Networking
I’m just as guilty as anyone else who’s ever posted meaningless stuff on Facebook or Twitter. I’ll post stuff related to what sort of amplifier I got to use at band practice to how bad I’ve beaten my friend at digital poker (I don’t advertise when he beats me). It’s interesting while we Americans are posting “I just had a ham sandwich” or “Damn Grammy’s slighted Justin Bieber” to “going to bed and hoping I don’t dream about oompa-loompas again”, some folks in the Middle East have recently been using facebook and twitter to take down dictators.
I suppose social networking shows that some lives aren’t so mundane, trivial and trite after all. Now I have to finish this blog because it’s wing night and then I get another poker shot at Gordon.
