Eric Cantor
On Thursday Congressman Eric Cantor scolded the Democrats for talking about all the threats they’ve been receiving, then he went on a rant about all the threats he’s received (which he won’t reveal), and that someone shot at his office in Richmond.
Today it was revealed that it was an errant shot, which seems to be the norm in Richmond. The bullet was fired in the air and came down into a window in his local office, and landed very close to the window. Cantor went on about how glad he was that he wasn’t targetted, not mentioning how that’s all he talked about Thursday.
I didn’t buy it to begin with. I can’t imagine a liberal sitting around with a gun thinking “i’m so glad health care reform passed, I think I’ll go shoot a Republican”.
This cartoon is a blog exclusive. My editor didn’t like it. He really, really, really didn’t like it. His assistant didn’t like it. That made me think it’s a good cartoon. When someone gets upset by seeing the rough, I know it’s a good cartoon.
