It seems like a no-brainer to suspend a student athlete off a team for being in trouble.  Colleges do it.  Pros do it.  Why not public education?  Even if you’re not convicted, you’re still representing an institution and playing for them is a privilege.   Hell, I got thrown off a football team in 7th grade for not getting a haircut.  Maybe if some coaches don’t want to teach responsibility or set an example, they should be thrown off the team.
