I was talking to my editor about Bubbas. For some reason he wanted to talk about this. He said he never knew a Bubba in West Virginia so it must be a Southern thing. Well yeah. I’ve known thousands of Bubbas growing up in the South. Usually it’s not their given name. I was asked if I ever met a black Bubba. Uh, no.
I know a guy from Mississippi who’s last name is Thompson so I wanted to make him a Bubba for one day. He’s a busy guy so I’m not sure if he’ll catch this. I’ll give him a nudge.
Trans Am does seem like a car a Bubba would drive (when he’s not driving a pickup truck with a boat behind it). I’m really hoping I don’t see any editorial cartoons on the death of the Trans Am with Smoky And The Bandit in it.
