Caption Contest #8
Two weeks ago we used the cliche of someone sitting on Santa’s lap. It kept me from having to draw a Santa’s lap toon for the paper. This week’s contest is the cliche of Father Time greeting Baby Time which I’ve been guilty of drawing every year of my career for New Year’s Day. Not this year as it’s for the caption contest and it belongs to you.
Submit your entries to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. DO NOT put your entries into the comment section (though I do appreciate comments). Along with your entry include your name and address so I know you actually exist. We won’t print your address (someone asked about that last week). The winner will receive the original drawing with his or her caption included. We’ll announce the winner Saturday in the blog and on page 2 of The Free Lance-Star.
I was a asked a couple questions last week about the contest so I’ll answer them for the entire class. You can enter more than once. If you’ve won before, you can still enter. I really appreciate everyone who’s played along with us so far. Last week’s contest drew the largest response and it’ll be interesting to see if we can beat that.
Here’s Tuesday’s cartoon.
