Yes, I drew a Valentine’s day toon.  I went through the AAEC site and every cartoon is on Valentine’s Day or Snoopy.  I’m glad I made my VD toon on a local issue.  My editor was concerned this issue wasn’t big enough for a toon.  Maybe I should have drawn a Beagle.

Did you notice I put wrinkles in the woman’s forehead?  I’m pretty sure I’ve seen an angry female before, I’m just not sure where.  I’ll think about that.

Virginia is for Lovers and other toons

Yesterday I posted a few roughs from primary night (that was Tuesday).  I’m glad I didn’t go with the Virginia is for Lovers idea as John Rose took it.  The other day I posted a toon similiar to one I previously did with Cupid shooting at the GOP to make them love McCain….yeah, there’s like a ton of them today.  I gotta stop thinking so obviously.  One theme I promise I won’t do is a Super Delegate in a cape.  I’ve seen about ten of those.  Right now there’s a cartoonist reading this blog thinking "hey, I’ll draw that Delegate Cape Idea…it’s only been done ten times".  Let’s do a little test:  If I was going to draw a Super Delegate Cape toon I’d have him like Superman stuck in a phone booth labeled "texas" or "ohio" or better yet, "popular vote".  Let’s see how long it takes before someone does that toon.
