I took a different approach with this toon.  This entire cartoon was drawn with a cheap Bic ball point pen except for a few darker areas where I used a thin Sharpie.  I love Sharpies.

Bonus time.  Here’s something I did for my syndicate and for the blog readers.  It’s probably not going to make the newspaper.  It’s kind of an obscure issue but I wanted to cover it anyway.  Apparently a lot of Muslim prisoners are upset because some prison toilets face Mecca.  Is nothing allowed to face Mecca?  So anyway, they have to poop sideways on the toilet so they won’t insult Mecca.  Some Muslim rights groups are really upset about this.  It seems these rights groups would be more concerned about other trivial matters such as Muslims killing Muslims instead of spending their time worried about what direction terrorist suspects face while sitting on the can.
