Hiring Our Heroes is holding its next job fair for veterans and their spouses in Washington on March 15. More than 100 employers with jobs available will be on hand. Since it was formed in March 2011, the organization says in a press release, that it has helped nearly 100,000 people find jobs. The job fair is from 9 a.m. to noon at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mount Vernon Place, N.W. Job-seekers should register for free here, though walk-ins are allowed. The program is run by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

Legion post hosts job fair for veterans, spouses

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the American Legion Post 290 are hosting Hiring Our Heroes here on Monday, July 30. It will include more than 40 employers and runs from 9 a.m. to noon.

Interested employers and job seekers can register for free here. Walk-ins are allowed with a military ID card. The post is located at 1204 American Legion Road, Fredericksburg. Over the past year, during more than 200 Hiring Our Heroes sessions, more than 10,000 service members and spouses have found employment.
