Patio to be built at government center

This spring, the Stafford County government center will have a covered patio area with tables and chairs.

The county is now asking for initial price quotes on the project.

The 19×29-foot patio would be in the grassy courtyard area that’s on the outside second level, under the windows of the ABC Conference Room.

It’ll be big enough for 10 tables with chairs, with individual umbrellas.

And it’s a green project, a county spokeswoman says. Instead of concrete, the patio will be made of an environmentally friendly porous surface.
