Special meeting set for budget talks

Better bring the coffee.

Stafford’s Board of Supervisors will meet at 7:30 a.m. Saturday to start talking about the fiscal 2014 budget. The special meeting will be held in the ABC Conference Room of the government complex.

No word on how long the meeting may go. Supervisor Cord Sterling asked for the early start time to accommodate his family’s schedule.

The county administrator will present his proposed budget several weeks later, likely the first week of March. Public hearings will then be held on the budget and tax rates.
